We are making a recipe book full of healthy snacks. We set up a competition for the children to design the front cover.
We had some very good entries which made the decision very tricky. Eventually Mrs Fearnhough had a short list of entries and on Friday she chose the winning design.
The winner was Arissa Saraj in Y3/4 H, with her prize of cooking equipment, here is her lovely design. What a great cover it'll make.
This design will feature on all our recipe books which we will be selling at the Christmas fair - they'll make great gifts for people so come along!
We are so pleased that so many children have reached their bronze reading award, they have read 50 times at home!
It was wonderful to celebrate this achievement with the children during our special reading assembly. Their next goal is to achieve silver, keep up the good work!
We look forward to every child in Y3/4 achieving their bronze award and beyond.
Many thanks for your continued support in reading at home. Signing your child's reading diary every day helps them to move forward. We can really see the
progress the children are making!
In Y3/4 our topic this term is ' Are you a happy eater?'.
We have been looking at healthy recipes so that we can create our own recipe book, (keep your eyes peeled, you will be able to buy one of these!).
Last week we made a quick and healthy snack - fruit skewers, they were delicious!
You can find the instructions in the images below , be warned, you will want to eat more than 1!
Yesterday (Wednesday 26th September 2018) Y34H went to visit the amazing Highfield library. We walked there and when we arrived we met Becky, the librarian, who explained about her job and told us about where we could go within the library.
We each choose a book or two that we wanted to read. After reading the books for a bit we returned them the their places and we each completed a review of the book.
Together, Becky and ourselves, shared a story together which was funny and rhyming, we enjoyed it a lot!
Here are some photos of our time at the library. We are looking forward to our next turn in a 3 weeks time.
