Our Key Stage One trip to the Millennium Galleries was a fantastic hands-on learning experience! The children explored several galleries, carefully studying the sculptures on display and selecting their favourites to sketch. Inspired by what they saw, they then created their own unique clay sculptures, practicing important techniques like the score and slip method to attach pieces securely. Along the way, we discovered how sculptures can be brought to life through kinetic parts, assemblage, and relief. . It was a creative and inspiring day for everyone!
