Latest information regarding school re-opening

Dear Parent/Carer,

We are currently following government guidance and making plans to re-open the school to children in NurseryReceptionYear 1 and Year 6 classes alongside children of key workers from Monday 1st June.

We will be using details within the government guidance to help us put in place several measures to keep everyone safe within our setting – more details will be sent out to families in these year groups next week.  Children in all other year groups should continue to stay at home and access home learning tasks until further notice.

We are encouraging children in these year groups to attend but families will not be fined and attendance records will not be affected if they do not – we fully understand if you make this decision.  School staff will contact families in NurseryReceptionYear 1 and Year 6 next week to find out how many children will be attending on 1st June.

The Department for Education have published guidance for parents and carers on the opening of schools to more children and can be found using the following link: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/closure-of-educational-settings-information-for-parents-and-carers/reopening-schools-and-other-educational-settings-from-1-june

All of our families are in our thoughts here at Anns Grove and we are looking forward to a time when we can all be together again.

Best wishes

Sam Fearnehough
