From September 2013 the Government allocated funding directly to primary schools to support the provision of quality PE/sport. In 2017/18 each school received £16 000 plus an extra £10 per pupil each year – here at Anns Grove that means we recieved £18.580
Our vision for the Primary PE and Sport Premium
ALL children leaving our school will be physically literate with the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to equip them for a healthy, active lifestyle and lifelong participation in physical activity and sport.

Swimming is an important skill and can encourage a healthy and active lifestyle. All Local Authority schools must provide swimming instruction either in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. For the academic year 2017/18, we received £18,580 of Sports Premium funding. The funding enabled us to increase our PE resources and provide the following:
What will Anns Grove use the funding for in 2018/19?
We have been awarded £18,550 Sports Premium funding for this year and will continue to direct these funds towards self-sustaining, quality PE provision.
The funds will be spent on resources, staff CPD, transport, participation in competitions, health and wellbeing interventions as well as extending opportunites for all children.
