Today, the children in Y5/6 were lucky enough to take part in a journalism workshop hosted by Helen Pidd, the Editor for the North of England for the Guardian newspaper! They took part in a Q+A session about careers in journalism, and then participated in a press conference about an (imaginary) crime at Bramall Lane… the children then produced their own reports about the event and had the chance to read them aloud to the class!
